One of most intensively developing faculties is the faculty of law of the Samara state university. Preparation of lawyers with higher education in our area has old history. From the middle of 30th years in Samara the branch Saratov, and after the Moscow legal institute, prepared experts-lawyers under the correspondence form of training worked.
After revival in 1969 Samara (then Kuibyshev) the state university, under the day time form of training originally (preparation of lawyers-experts began in 1970) within the limits of humanitarian faculty. In 1976 the independent faculty of law at the Samara state university has been formed.
The first release of lawyers-experts with higher education took place in the Samara state university in 1975. Then them was all nearby 50 person. In 1997 the faculty of law only under the day time form of training was successfully finished by 103 persons.
The first dean of a faculty of law was senior lecturer Abdula F.S., then the faculty was headed: with 1975г. On 1982г. - senior lecturer Sizonenko V.F., with 1982г. Preparation of lawyers is conducted on internal and correspondence branches, till 1997 the evening branch function. Besides the faculty prepares for lawyers on humanitarian branch in a of Tolyatti, and also at special faculty SSU (the second higher education).
At faculty 5 faculties operate: theories and histories of the state and the right (head of chair senior lecturer Napreenko A.A.), state and administrative law (head of chair senior lecturer Bespalyj I.T.), civil law and process (head of chair senior lecturer Treshcheva E.A.), criminal law and criminology (head of chair senior lecturer Korobov P.V.), criminal trial and criminalistics (head of chair professor Shejfer S.A.). On faculties the greater group of skilled teachers, including 1 doctor of jurisprudence and over 30 candidates of jurisprudence works. The faculty on a regular basis replenishes with the graduates of the Samara state university who has successfully protected master's theses. Among them Bezverkhov A.G., Cherkasova N.Y., Soshnikov R.A.work at faculty and the skilled experts, many years given to work in court and правоприменительных bodies. Among them Terentev A.D., the colonel of justice, the honourable judge, Leonova O.V., the lieutenant colonel of militia.
The faculty prepares for the broad specialists, capable to work in any sphere of management, economy, justice where are required knowledge of the lawyer; and also capable to training in postgraduate study on a speciality 02.11.00" Jurisprudence ". Graduates of faculty work in courts, Office of Public Prosecutor, legal profession, a notariate, judicial authorities, in criminally-executive system and in law-enforcement bodies, in bodies of the government of the subject of Federation and in municipal bodies, in the commercial organizations, banks and on manufacture. The most capable and prepared graduates are invited for work to faculties and for training in postgraduate study.
The aspiration of many young men and girls testifies to authority of a faculty of law to receive the juridical education, about it speaks both constantly high competition, and a demand of graduates of faculty which even during our complex time have an opportunity of employment.
The graduate of faculty, the candidate of jurisprudence Tarasenko V.G. have been elected by a member of Council of Federation of the first convocation, senior lecturer Rozhkova L.P. - the deputy of the State Duma in 1993-1995г.г., senior lecturer Bobrova N.A. was twice elected the deputy of the Samara regional Duma, senior lecturer Bespalyj I.T. is the vice-president of the selective commission of the Samara area. Professor Shejfer S.A. is a part of Council on judicial reform at the President of the Russian Federation, the dean of faculty, senior lecturer Napreenko A.A. is a member of coordination council of the international nongovernmental association " the Union of lawyers ", heads the Union of lawyers of the Samara area, senior lecturer Lyaskovskij A.I. - the vice-president of regional federation of trade unions. Leading teachers of faculty are employed as experts of authorities of the Samara area and institutions of local government.
The faculty of faculty accepts active participation in the international and federal scientific conferences, scientific symposiums, seminars. It is annually published more than 50 scientific articles and information. Students are involved in this work also, theses of the best reports of students at scientific student's conferences are recommended to the publication and annually published in university collections.
The faculty actively cooperates with leading universities of foreign countries. Together with Webster university of the USA preparation of assistants to lawyers is conducted. At faculty here some years employment teachers of the American educational institutions spend. Students of the senior rates participate in the All-Russia competitions on the right of training abroad and, as a rule, occupy high places, trained in foreign high schools with reception of corresponding documents.
Now at faculty it is trained about 1,5 thousand students. According to curriculums they acquire disciplines of a обще-humanitarian and social and economic cycle, get acquainted with mathematical and general natural sciences. During all term of training students master also общеправовые disciplines as state, administrative, civil, criminal law. Since the third rate, preparation of students is conducted on four specializations: economic-legal, it is state-legal, judicial-public prosecutor's and criminalistic where them disciplines of specialization more deeply accustom.
The nonlearning life of a faculty of law is substantial. Many students go in for sports, the faculty of law during of some years takes on achievements in sport leading place at university. Carrying out of days of a trade, meetings of students with heads of law enforcement bodies, practical workers practises, dedication in students is spent, in solemn conditions student's cards and test books are handed over. Scientific student's circles actively work. Students prepare for substantial reports, заинтересованно and actively discuss scientific problems, analyze practice of application of the legislation. Students lawyers participate in amateur performances, will organize celebratory evenings, discos.
One of the major directions in activity of faculty is proforientational work. At faculty meetings with the future entrants, Olympiads by the right are annually spent. Teachers of faculty participate in jury of regional and republican Olympiads. Winners of Olympiads have chance to enter faculty of law without examinations. The faculty renders methodical and other help to educational institutions of area and city. Our teachers conduct lessons on Bases of the state and the right at schools, grammar schools and other educational institutions of city, and also on preparatory courses.
